The average American lives to be 79 years, and 70 of those years are spent indoors. HOMEChem, or House Observations of Microbial and Environmental Chemistry, is the first experiment of its kind. Bringing together over 50 students and researchers from 13 universities, HOMEChem aims to explore the complicated chemistry that takes place in indoor environments. HOMEChem is supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
